Review
NECESSARY EVIL by Adrian Lupşa

When I first started reading this book I wasn’t really sure what my friend Adi had prepared for me! I was expecting something different from the books that have lately been published and it really was like that!

Although Christine is a normal teenager, she somehow manages to make her normal life become somehow full of paranormal events.
Planning a party after her parents leave with business, she and her friends do something that they should not have. Playing with fire can sometimes do some damage, but playig with spirits can be even more dangerous!

I liked the idea of the author, it was different from the books I have came across until now and it was an interesting read which kept me curious until the end. There were some moments that took me by surprise since I did not expect some situations!

I liked the characters; I found Christine quite mature for her age, the opposite of Alexandra whom I found really funny at times. Regarding the male characters, Aaron left me curious since I still can not be sure what is his role in the devious plan of the author *bwahahaah*!

The action is quite simple when you think about it but many things happen.

The lack of dinamism could be a con but i am sure that the sequel will be even better!

It is a good read for almost all ages; it only contains few scenes that are not explicit so anyone could read it!

A young-adult, paranormal story that keeps popping questions in your mind and makes you want to read the sequel!

Quotes:

“At a quarter past seven, the dorbell rang again. Christine hurried down the hall to open the door. She almost slipped on the tiles, but she did not care. Aaron was there and when she opened the door, the boy encountered her with a charming smile and a large bouquet of red roses.”

“The wind began to blow through the tree leaves and the dust started to rise from the ground. The October 23rd Street was animated by animal sounds: birds were singing and dogs were barking creating an alarming atmosphere. In the threshold of the gate were seen withouth heed, rippling and twisting, black silhouettes that came out from nowhere.”
